Configuring ShoutCast

Ampache is able to write out a static playlist that can then be read in by a shoutcast 'client' This means that you can not use any of the more dynamic features of Ampache with your shoutcast server. This module was originally created to allow multiple online DJ's to browse and generate playlists on the fly from a single physical source as well as provide them with some basic GUI controls for their respective shoutcast clients.

Instance Options

  • Name Name of your instance, arbitrary
  • PID File The PID file used to identify the shoutcast instance that is running
  • Playlist File The file that ampache should write out the playlist to, referenced by shoutcast
  • Local Path to Files The local path to the files (as seen by the shoutcast server) if left blank this uses the filename used by Ampache
