Before reporting a bug please read the below basic rules. If you fail to follow these rules there is a good chance that your bug will take longer to be resolved, or your feature to be implemented. Always remember that you have not paid for Ampache, and work is only done on our whim. A good attitude and helpful demeanor will increase your chances of prompt bug resoulution.
Bug reports must be made against the current stable version of Ampache. All previous versions are unsupported and bug reports against them will be summarily closed.
We cannot support user modified versions. Please ensure your copy has no local modifications before submitting a bug.
Always search both open and closed tasks before creating a new one. Your bug might already be reported, or your feature requested.
If your bug is marked Waiting on Customer we will close it within 2 weeks if no additional information has been provided.
If a bug is marked
wontfix or otherwise denied check the comments for our reasoning. If you are unhappy with the response you are welcome to discuss it on
#ampache at irc.freenode.net. Creation of duplicate bugs wastes our time, and makes us even less likely to accomodate you.
Condecending or Agressive bugs will be summarialy closed regardless of their validity. You will be asked to resubmit the bug in a civil manner.
If you want something done right away, we happily accept payment for feature implementation! Otherwise either submit a patch or wait patiently.
We have limited time, feature requests should be succinct. If it takes you a paragraph to explain your feature, it is most likely too complex.
