Adding remote/network catalog doesn't work

Postby globex » Mon Jul 26, 2010 8:28 pm

I'm not sure what's going on. But I've got one catalog pointing to: //raid/raid/audio that works just fine (it's on my network computer called 'raid'), but when I try to add another network catalog at: //computer2/music it says it can't find it. When I type in the address into Explorer it opens up just fine, but Ampache can't seem to be able to import it. Any ideas about how I can troubleshoot this issue?

P.S. I've tried it with both forward slashes and back slashes, and that one network address doesn't seem to work.

P.P.S. I've also tried mounting the computer as a new drive and then using X:/music as the path, and it still doesn't accept it.

Have you verified that the apache service has access to that folder? On my windows systems I had to set apache to run as a certain user and then add that user to have permission to access those boxes / file paths.

My XAMPP Server is set to be run as the SYSTEM user, and I've checked the remote folder and it says that SYSTEM has "Full Control".

Is there a way I can debug the issue to see why it can't be reached (bad user, access denied, wrong path, etc...?)
