Directory Browsing

Those of us that have larger music collections (which I believe is the majority of us that use Ampache) sometimes know the directory structure much better than the artist name and/or other details about the music.

This is potentially a bad idea as far as security is concerned because users would be able to identify the directories that your music exists in. However, I think the benefits far outweigh this side-effect.

I’ll be developing this feature for “my” version of Ampache, which for those of you that know SoE’s mods, they’re quite a ways behind the current development (Vollmer kicks butt at this stuff!)—but I wanted to recommend the idea for development on the stable branch so that other users that prefer the most recent version can also enjoy this feature. Of course I always highly recommend it to be an additional feature that can be “turned on” in the config, or as a plugin, or however seems reasonable.

Would this allow playing of (all or random songs) from that folder? It would be nice for example browse by certain folder besides artist, genre, song title.
