Furthermore, we cannot accept bugs about metadata or art handling in 3.5.4 due to the large number of bugs that have been fixed since then. 3.5.4 in general is becoming less supportable, and it is suggested to try to reproduce the bug in the latest nightly.

DetailsWith transcoding enabled i have discovered cases where the resulting mp3 file will not play. In cases where the track title contains unicode characters the resulting mp3 file is not playable by windows media player or by the android media player. ampache server is running version 3.5.4 on ubuntu 10.04
example titles: Sinead - Within Temptation (e -> U+00E9) Cohkka - Apocalyptica (C -> U+010C) with transcoding disabled, the above songs play as expected. Please note that when i used the actual unicode characters in the tasks, the submit fails... :( |
