Ampache

Do not issue any bug reports against versions earlier than 3.5.4 they will be closed.

Furthermore, we cannot accept bugs about metadata or art handling in 3.5.4 due to the large number of bugs that have been fixed since then. 3.5.4 in general is becoming less supportable, and it is suggested to try to reproduce the bug in the latest nightly.

Before submitting a bug please read http://ampache.org/wiki/support:bugs failure to do so may delay resolution of your report.

Hi all,

I am using Ampache for local play via MPD but I found that both playlists (the Ampache and MPD [local] one) are not synced together.
For example, I add an album into the playlist, choose local play and click on the play button. Then the playlist is added into MPD, this works fine. But if I clear the Ampache playlist, I have to go into local playlist and clear it individually.
The same is if I would like to remove a single track from Ampache playlist - I have to go to local playlist and remove it there.

For ordinary (non-admin) user, this is very confusing. Ordinary user just want to make playlist, play, delete, etc. on one place. He doesn't know what MPD or MPD's playlist is.

Thanks for the great piece of software, I don't use anything else since I have met Ampache (and MPD) ;-)

Reason for closing:  Won't fix
Additional comments about closing:  There isn't an API method for syncing / importing into the MPD database, we can't even pass meta-data to MPD so this is currently not possible.
